Poltergeist Popcorn and the Legend of the Haunted Outhouse

Located at the Haunted Outhouse Trailhead, Poltergeist Popcorn is an old-fashioned antique popcorn vendor cart, similar to those that would be seen at a circus in the late 1800's. The cart is owned by the retired couple Winifred and Wilbur Wolfbane who retreated to Howling Hollow with a small fortune after finding success in the candy-making industry. While they left their business behind in their old life, they still were not content with just absorbing themselves into their collected hobby of collecting unique antiques. So, they bought an old popcorn cart, adorned it with antiques unique to Howling Hollow, and curated a collection of confectioned consumables, including candied peanuts and uniquely flavored popcorn, first to sell off to the locals, then to the peering eyes of tourists. Here, it is said that gossip can travel quickly, as a diverse crowd has discovered their love of the couples' treats.

HowlSpace Quest 3: Who is That Werewolf?

Travelling up the trailhead, guests encounter the Haunted Outhouse, a replica of the original structure. Several decades prior, an unknown man was using the restroom one night in the original outhouse when he heard a distant, unearthly howl. Frightened, the man lit a match to see in the darkness to catch a glimpse of what was in the distance, but his going to the restroom caused an excessive amount of methane gas to build up in the outhouse, which the match ignited. This caused the man and the outhouse to blow up, vaporizing both immediately. Since then, the outhouse has been rebuilt, but people traveling the trail that leads to the outhouse claim to sometimes hear the spirit of the man said to now haunt the site utter in an unearthly tone, "What did I eat?" and "Who goes there?" possibly reliving the last moments of his life for all eternity. Near the outhouse is a recently scratched tree.
