{Guest Options}:

Russel Spectre: {Option 1} Nice. I think we’re on the right track now. {Return to Guest Options}

Russel Spectre: {Option 2} So, it is, isn’t it? I think we’re on the cusp of something big here. You never know, this story might be the thing that saves my TV show. {Return to Guest Options}

Russel Spectre: {Option 3} Oh, she did? Wait…WHAT!?! What on earth is going on there? You got a photo at least, right? {Go to Next Guest Options}

{Guest Options}:

·         {Option 1} Here you go. Just took it.

Russel Spectre: {Option 1} Thank goodness. And I must say, your photography skills are pretty impeccable. I’m going to enlarge this photo and see what details I can make out. I’ll be in touch later. {Go to Objective Screen}

Objective Screen {from Option 1}: Go to the Waiting Room inside of Bubba’s Garden Restaurant.

{Guest} sits down in Waiting Room and confirms. Lights and sound play in the waiting room.

Jennifield Wrenfold: How dare you all disgrace me with the name of that horrible usurper! You honor him with that myth of Banjo Buffalo, when his name should be erased from history? Maybe you all need to see me and my tale!

Animation of ghostly light appears in a mirror.

{Guest} activates Time Dilation Manipulator and scans waiting room. An anomaly appears over the mirror. {Guest} confirms and plays tuning minigame. Completing the minigame activates animation of the unearthly light dissipating.

{Guest} activates Camera Scan and inspects the room. Scanning the room reveals nothing. Returning to the mirror reveals Jennifield Wrenfold’s ghost, which screams at {Guest} and possesses their phone. {Go to Quest Screen}

{u^d3f!ne/}: Now that I have your undivided attention, history will now vindicate my name.

{Guest Options}:

{Option 1} Who are you?

·         {Option 2} Are you a ghost?

{u^d3f!ne/}: {Option 2} A ghost? Bah! You almost sound like my righteous and untutored wretch of a husband! {Return to Guest Options}

{u^d3f!ne/}: {Option 3} A phone? I know not what you are talking about, but whatever this metal rectangle that I am inhabiting is, I am finding nothing but strings of numbers and moving photographs of felines. What instrument of confusion is this? {Return to Guest Options}

{u^d3f!ne/}: {Option 4} What? Leave you alone? You have inscribed that horrid document on here! {Jennifield deletes photo of marriage certificate} I will do nothing of the sort, unless you follow my instructions. {Go to Next Guest Options}

{Guest Options}:

·         {Option 1} What do you need me to do?

{u^d3f!ne/}: {Option 1} You must listen to my story on MY terms and recount it to whoever can spread the word of Howling Hollow’s true story! Travel to the second floor of this house, and you’ll step onto the blood and torture that built this town. {Go to Objective Screen}

Objective Screen {from Option 1}: Go to the Staircase inside of Bubba’s Garden Restaurant.

{Guest} approaches Staircase and confirms. Lights, animation, and sound play in the foyer.

Jennifield Wrenfold: You think you know the history of this town, but it is nothing more than lies and myths! Come with me. Come learn the truth behind this town.

Security gate at the base of the stairs swings open. {Guest} climbs stairs or uses provided elevator. At the landing, the door that seems to swing open and closed swings open, allowing {Guest} to enter. An employee accompanies {Guest} for safety reasons.

Costume Design for Bubba's Garden Restaurant. Speaking of those employees, here is what they would wear while working inside of the restaurant. Since this restaurant is an upscale table service location, I wanted the costumes to be upscale to match, but with a slight Howling Hollow flair to them, such as the wide-brim starched hat and the apron. In addition, I integrated a bit of the location's story into these costumes with a floral pattern on the vests (being Bubba's Garden Restaurant) and a bat-inspired bowtie (since Chef Dracula runs the kitchen). The costumes are unisex, since integrating a knee-high skirt in with the apron would have just looked weird.

{Guest} steps inside of Parlor and confirms.

{Guest} activates Sound Recorder and scans the parlor. {Guest} confirms, which activates tuning minigame. {Guest} confirms, which activates lights and sound in the parlor.

The door slams shut. Lights, sounds, and animation play.

Using projecting mapping, the parlor vanishes, whisking {Guest} back in time to the town’s founding.

Trees are cut down as Count Werdna’s Funeral Home and Clint-Lee Muir’s Plantation House are built on opposite ends of the forest.

Jennifield Wrenfold: 1819 is the year that Count came from across the Atlantic to this forest, trying to seclude himself in this forest. We made ourselves at home across the lake on our plantation.

Some of the older buildings are built. While the funeral home is fairly quiet, slaves are clearly shown working the plantation. Clint-Lee and Count Werdna meet each other.

Jennifield Wrenfold: We ensured that we had the proper labor for our enterprise, but as we began to talk with that Count, we understood that he wasn’t like us. A vampire that fed on fresh blood. Our workforce dwindled as he invited his un-human friends to come to the forest. We tried to live in peace, but they lost our trust with that banjo duel.

Clint-Lee and Count Werdna banjo duel over a newly constructed town. Clint-Lee wins by rigged election.

Jennifield Wrenfold: We made sure to declare my husband the founder of this town in 1821, since we wanted nothing more than to have those monstrous beings of Werdna’s to leave us alone. But my wretched husband had other ideas.

Clint-Lee is seen massacring most of the monster population. His slaves try to stop him, which results in him turning on his own slaves.

Jennifield Wrenfold: I tried to stop his bloodlust, his break of the peace, but it was all for naught.

Clint-Lee, in an act of rage, kills Jennifield in the parlor. He immediately regrets his decision.

Jennifield Wrenfold: Like myself, he had filled this land with anguishing, pained, and deathly souls, leaving few survivors who wanted his blood.

Clint-Lee is chased into a slave quarter on the edge of the lake by monsters and humans alike.

Jennifield Wrenfold: No mob of vengeance could quench his hatred, his lust for blood and power, his rage. Not even death itself could stop him.

As the mob sets the cabin ablaze, Clint-Lee’s screams turn into howls as evil power quenches the flames and restores the cabin. A light flash brings {Guest} back to the parlor.

Jennifield Wrenfold: Before I leave your contraption, swear upon your grave that you will share what you have seen and heard here. This town will be torn to pieces by the return of my wretched husband, unless you can stop him. Now be gone!

The parlor door opens as app returns to its normal display. {End of animation}

{Guest} returns to the ground floor and confirms. {Go to Quest Screen}

{Guest Options}:

Russel Spectre: {Option 1} Oh. I’m kind of speechless right now. If this is true, you’re going to need to take this to the Chamber of Commerce. I don’t know about you, but I think this could upend this entire town. {Go to Objective Screen}

Russel Spectre: Were you able to hand over the recording yet? {Go to Next Guest Options}

{Guest Options}:

·         {Option 1} The Chamber of Commerce is warning people about heightened activity, so no.

Russel Spectre: {Option 1} Hmm. This could be serious. Unfortunately, I can’t help you going forward. You’re going to have to talk to the townsfolk on your own. With that said, start by investigating the Chamber of Commerce. Part of me wants you to get out of there, but some part of me wants to find out more about Slenderman, if he’s still relevant. Until then, bye for now. {Go to Objective Screen}

{Guest} activates Time Dilation Manipulator and scans the Chamber of Commerce for anomalies. One appears over the portrait of Banjo Buffalo. Guest confirms and plays tuning minigame. Completing the game activates animation, lights, and sound on the artifact. The interior lights dim.

Clint-Lee Muir: So, you think that you’ve uncovered the so-called lies of this town, have you? That Banjo Buffalo was a myth conjured to spare a naïve town of the pain of its past? No!

The portrait morphs, revealing an image of Clint-Lee Muir against his plantation house.

Clint-Lee Muir: Those sub-humans needed to be put into their place, to be shown who was their master. They all thought that they were some sort of unique beings, but I did what I had to to set the order of the universe straight!

The portrait morphs again, revealing an image of the burning cabin.

Clint-Lee Muir: They thought that their…attributes made them equals, that I was somehow wrong. But my most loyal servant, Count Elyk, knew his place, drawing the powers from his relative’s underworld to allow me to prove my superiority.

The portrait morphs again, revealing an image of Clint-Lee Muir transforming.

Clint-Lee Muir: But if you think that I’m some sort of monster, then let me be greater than any other! Elyk’s service has given me eternal power, so bow before your new master, sub-humans! It is time that you all saw my true form!

BANG! The portrait dissolves, revealing Slenderman! He is set against a strobe light and strong sounds.

With a flash of light, Slenderman is gone, and the room returns to normal, as if nothing happened. {Go to Quest Screen}
